The NSU Cybersecurity Center has successfully completed the third cohort of its Digital Hygiene and Cybersecurity Awareness Training Program, dedicated to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The practical, in-person program equipped business owners and employees with essential knowledge to identify and respond to common cyber threats, including phishing, social engineering, malware, ransomware, deepfakes, unsafe browsing, and data breaches.
Participants also gained practical guidance on digital hygiene, password security, incident awareness, and cybersecurity reporting procedures, helping them strengthen their organizations’ overall digital resilience.
The initiative is part of the NSU Cybersecurity Center’s broader commitment to building sustainable cybersecurity capacity in Bangladesh, with support from The Asia Foundation’s APAC Cybersecurity Fund, backed by Google.org. Through this initiative, the Center aims to support at least 300 digitally vulnerable organizations, including MSMEs and NGOs, through awareness training, risk assessments, and tailored cybersecurity guidance while providing NSU students with opportunities to contribute to real-world cybersecurity impact.
The successful completion of the third cohort marks another important step toward creating a more cyber-aware, resilient, and secure digital ecosystem for Bangladesh’s businesses and organizations.
